The Butcher
How could it be that our rations are already running thin? We are barely into the Elder Wood and already our stomachs begin to growl.
Just as we stop to prepare our day meal, we hear a lowing from the field beyond. Peering through the bracken, we behold a wild cow and her young calf grazing just beyond the path. We needn't speak a word to know what we are all thinking.
A decision must be made. Will we eat beef tonight?
The day wears on…
The Conundrum
Do we slaughter the cow, slaughter both, or spare the poor beasts?
The travellers may debate between themselves.
Then, clockwise starting with the Reader, each traveller may take it in turns to vote whether to SLAUGHTER JUST THE COW, SLAUGHTER BOTH BEASTS or SPARE them both.
In the event of a tie, the Reader casts the decisive vote.
