The Waters
The day wears on…
After hours walking the bog, we pass over a stretch of thankfully firm ground. But our relief is short lived when we find our way blocked by a river of fast-flowing muck. Though narrow, the stream’s waters run thick like syrup, roiling with a furious current.
It is clear that any attempt to ford this deluge could demand a costly toll. And yet, to find another way around could cost us precious time. The stream is narrow enough, too, that we might try to dam the waters; but this deep within the Elder Wood, such meddling might not go unobserved…
Standing on the bank, we debate our decision.
The Conundrum
Your path is blocked by a raging current. As a party, you must vote on the correct way forward.
Travellers may discuss freely.
Then, clockwise starting with the Reader, each traveller must vote to SWIM ACROSS, GO AROUND or try to DAM THE RIVER.
If the vote is split, the Reader casts the deciding vote.
