The Wind

The day wears on…

As we trace the shore of a vast, brackish lake, we find a sailboat laid upon the stones. It seems, against all odds, operable. Pushing the vessel out into the water, we attempt to ford the lake in half time.

We are out of luck. No matter which way we tack, the wind changes with us, intent on keeping our feeble ship at bay. Some of us swear they see faces in the shifting clouds ahead, glowering at us. Others dismiss it as a trick of the eye. Whatever the case, one thing is clear: this wind blows against us.

The Conundrum

The Wind blows against you. As a party, you must vote on the correct way forward.

  • Travellers may discuss freely.

  • Then, clockwise starting with the Reader, they may vote to PUSH ON across the lake or RETURN TO SHORE.
